The Olympics have officially begun in London and of course PinkGrasshopper. is excited about all the sporting events but we would be remised if we didn’t discuss the fashion!
The London 2012 Olympics brought some noted designers, Team USA’s opening ceremony uniforms from Ralph Lauren to our First Lady Michelle Obama‘s Opening Ceremony ensemble by J. Mendel.
With threads from the likes of Giorgio Armani designing the uniforms for Italy, Hermes crafting the Blazers for the French, Stella McCartney constructing the Uniforms for Great Britain, and Jamaica’s colorful uniform by Celdella Marley for Puma, just to name a few. For a moment we forgot we were watching the Olympics! It’s as if we were transplanted to a runway during fashion week. We are keeping an eye on all the sporting events and it wouldn’t be right if we didn’t pay attention to the style.
